Kragujevac, the central and largest city of Šumadija, is well connected with the rest of Serbia. With that, the journey to the airport in Niš is covered along its entire route – the section Kragujevac-Batočina and Batočina-Niš. The only part that isn’t a highway in full profile is 5 km located on the Gornja Batočina section – the entrance to the Belgrade-Niš highway. A large number of business people who work at the Fiat company use the Nis airport Constantine The Great as a starting point for their onward journeys.
Travel
The distance from Kragujevac to the airport in Nis is 140 km. It takes 1 hour and 45 minutes for that trip. We are moving towards Batočina on the road for motor vehicles marked IB-24. Batočina can be reached in 30 minutes, where there is also a connection to the highway at the Šumadija gate tavern. It takes an additional 75 minutes to get to Niš by normal driving. If the transfer is made during the summer season, it is recommended to leave earlier than planned due to frequent delays and highway reconstruction works.
On the way to Niš, we pass the towns of Jagodina, Ćuprija, Paraćin, Aleksinac. Constantine the Great Airport in Nis is located in the immediate vicinity of the Nis-Sever Toll Station, so we do not need to enter the city itself.
Niš-Kraljevo
To travel from Niš to Kraljevo, which is 140 km from the largest city in central Serbia – Niš, it takes almost two and a half hours to drive, considering that most of the journey is on regional roads. On that way, we move along the Niš-Belgrade highway, where we turn off from this corridor at Aleksinacki Rudniki, we pass through Kruševac, near Trstenik and Vrnjačka Banja.
Halfway from Kraljevo to Mrčajevci, there is the new Morava airport, from which you can fly to Istanbul in Turkey in the off-season, as well as to Thessaloniki in Greece, Vienna in Austria and Tivat in Montenegro.
