Travel
After leaving the airport in Nis, we take the Nis-Belgrade highway, along the E-75 corridor. After an easy drive of less than an hour and a half, we exit the highway at the Batočina exit and continue towards Kragujevac, which we arrive in twenty minutes after the exit. The road takes us through the city itself. We continue further, cross Gružansko Lake and continue towards Mrčajevci and Čačak. We always like to stop in Mrčajevci for a break and, if desired, stop by and eat one of the best roasts you’ve ever tasted in your life.
Where we pass next
We go around Čačak and continue towards the Ovčarsko-Kablarska Gorge, in the area known as the Serbian Holy Mountain, where there are a large number of monasteries. This attractive section leads us to Požega and the turns to Arilje and Ivanjica. We continue further towards Užice. We pass through Kosjerić and soon we are in Užice.
From this beautiful town begins a gentle climb towards Zlatibor. We pass through the village of Mačkat, known for a large number of households that sell home-made meat and milk products. The flavors are amazing. We arrive at the area of the municipality of Čajetina, which is also the administrative center of this mountainous part of Serbia.
Zlatibor
Zlatibor, one of the most important tourist centers in Serbia, is a frequent choice for vacation both in the winter and summer months. The tourist center is a nature park, with an average altitude of about 950 meters. It abounds with a large offer of accommodation.
